The 2021, Future of Corporate Communications Report released by Edelman, finds thatin over survey of over 200+ participants, 65% of COOs have ranked marketing communications in their top 5 areas of increased agency investment for the coming year.
The report uncovers that this is caused by the blurring of the lines between marketing and communication remits. An anonymous CEO quotes that “There’s afight on for relevance and a fight for talents”. It’s also confirmed that it’s becoming increasingly complex in an activist multistakeholder universe.
Communicators responding to the survey also frequently spoke about the challenges posed by creating, leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
